Nicole serves in the Air Force as a radiologist, serving at Nellis AFB, Nevada as well as tours in Korea and Japan. She attended her first event with AFW2 in November 2023 during Warrior Care Month where she learned about the power of music as part of recovery. Seeing how fun adaptive sports looked drew her to come out for a coveted slot on Team Air Force. She plans on using her time at Warrior Games to really show everyone how much adaptive sports can help aid in recovery.

What does the Invictus Games mean to you?

The Invictus Games to me represents resilience and the honor of competing alongside extraordinary individuals. It highlights the unwavering support among fellow warriors, coaches, and staff showcasing the best of humanity. It is a unique and special opportunity to represent team U.S. as a part of the U.S. military that I will cherish for life. The Invictus Games means hope to warriors like me. Through the Invictus Games I am awarded the amazing opportunity to be athlete I’ve always wanted to be despite my injury. It showed me the positive possibilities that can follow a cancer diagnosis.
