Steven Carmen
Alpine Ski | Skeleton | SwimmingSteve Carmen is a retired U.S. Army veteran who served with distinction in the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Ranger Battalion, and the Regimental Reconnaissance Company before being medically retired. Following his military service, Steve pursued higher education and became a Forensic Scientist, now working as a Special Investigator. During his recovery, he discovered a deep passion for cycling and skiing through adaptive sports programs, which played a crucial role in his journey of resilience.
Steve has proudly competed as a Para-Athlete in the Warrior Games and other competitions, embracing the challenge of overcoming obstacles. He looks forward to representing Team U.S. at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, where he continues to demonstrate that service members are not defined by their injuries but by their ability to rise above them.
Originally from San Diego, CA, Steve now resides in Bozeman, MT. He is a left below-the-knee amputee and has also sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). True to the Ranger spirit, he lives by the motto: “Rangers Lead The Way!”

I look forward to representing Team U.S. at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 for I and all service members are not defined by our Injuries, but our ability to overcome all obstacles.
